FRIENDS
They come in many sizes,
shapes and ages,
And often have such different
interests--
But each touches our lives.
In their own special way,
They give their own
uniqueness to us.
They color the fabric of our lives.
No matter how little we seem
to have in common,
We are richer for having
known each other,
And reaching out to
one another in friendship.
Some are our friends for life.
Others we may know for
only a brief time--
Yet we are important to each other.
Let us make the most of the
time we share with friends.
Joan adds," I have been privileged to have many people in my life who I call FRIEND. Some have been companions for many years, others perhaps only for a short time. Yet they have each touched me in some special way. I wrote this poem more than ten years ago but it still reflects my very personal view of friendship."
